The Truth about James

Firstly this post looks at James, who is James and why is seven so important. Secondly this blog gives an outline of the importance of lucky number seven and finally as ever will examine the truth of tongue, dialect and briefly touch upon the importance of being Ernest. Plus if time an addition recipe of how to cure tongue; that can also be used to cure other veg table substitutes. If your a little bit squeamish you might want to give this post a miss.

OK the truth is it seems there are differing levels of honesty and and in today's environment of the Internet we live in a vast spectrum of ideas and beliefs that go back as far as beginning a title of naming and regaining our touch on reality. James was a name first spotted in Britain, James may have originated in Greenwich however he may may also of come from someplace else. Famous James over the last century alone have been James Dean, James Bond and Jamie and the magic torch. James is also a name of a book and James in short is Jimmy. James was a king, James lives in Britain and James lives in other places too.

James the seventh re-wrote the bible many years ago, since that time the book has been read by many people. Some people read more than others and other people find all they need from reading. Reading is an important part of education and education is an important strand of education, some scholars have argued that education is an important part of reading books like the King James book, other scholars have argued that James interpretation of text is much more valid than any other books or blogs posted prior to any other inaugurations since. Seven has been known to be a lucky number and has also been linked with dice throwing. This is not true a dice or die only have six sides, however seven is still a lucky number and if you have two dice and your playing craps you could predict that you might throw a lucky seven, but I would argue that this could be just another example of someone hedging bets. Seven more recently could be explained as senses, seven senses are by far better than six or five but seven is also the name of a river. Seven is a number that not many films have reached in sequels, can you think of any? I can think of a couple but I think number seven as a sequel is going beyond the original genre of a movie, however if you are making a seventh sequel disregard this ramble, despite the element of truth this is just a prequel or a Re-rite of other truths currently on display on Google videos. Therefore seven is just a pre cursor of what might I write in future blogs, but like the odds on a dice seven is a tricky number to fathom.

So in light of this I shall move onto my recipe, or rather how to cure tongue. First you will need a nice long tongue, usually from a cow or a lamb or pig. I'm going to say a lambs tongue, it's not as big as the cows and it has been exposed to less junk than a pigs, so yes a lambs tongue (remember you can also try this with tofu or something like this if your vegetarian). First thing your going to do is trim the skin, so the marinade can pierce the tongue, you do this with the usual pickling agents, green pepper corns are an interesting addition and a little bit of red food colouring can stop the pickling process of turning the tongue grey. Finally leave the tongue to pickle for a few weeks then cook slowly in a cooker, if you get it right your pickled flesh will come out nice and red instead of tattered and grey. Often it's good to get some kind of jelly to preserve outside the flesh and a good slicer is required if you wont the professional old school tongue recipe, your best bet is to ask your butcher to do it for you, the chances are your struggle to find a good butcher with a reasonably pickled tongue. :)
